Accident N60842 (Piper PA-28-161) south-east of Vík í Mýrdal, Iceland

On February 21, 2008, about 11:39 coordinated universal time, a Piper PA-28-161, N60842, was ditched in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 120 NM south-east of Vík í Mýrdal, Iceland. The airplane was being ferry-flown from the United States to Wick in Scotland. The NTSB investigated the accident and issued the report. The Icelandic AAIB (RNF) nominated an ACCREP to the investigation.

Accident N5030Q (Cessna 310) about 50 NM west of Keflavik

On February 11, 2008, about 16:11 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 310N, N5030Q, was presumed to have sustained substantial damage when the pilot reported ditching in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 50 NM to the west of Keflavik, Iceland. The airplane was being ferry-flown from the United States to Bulgaria. The NTSB investigated the accident and issued the report. The Icelandic AAIB (RNF) nominated an ACCREP to the investigation.
